Life Sciences Instructional Faculty

A full-time Life Sciences (Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology) Instructional Faculty position is available beginning August 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year. A Master’s degree in specific area of instruction (anatomy and physiology, microbiology) or closely related field with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the specific area is required. Collegiate and online teaching experience is preferred. Experience in cadaver dissection laboratory activities is desirable. The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include classroom teaching (lecture and lab) and online teaching; course development, including online courses; student advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills; ability to work in teams, flexibility to teach day or evening hours and at the College’s locations in Springfield and Beavercreek, OH as needed. Registered Nursing Instructional Faculty (2)

Two (2) full-time Instructional Faculty positions available in the Clark State Community College Associate Degree Registered Nursing Program beginning fall semester, August 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing, a minimum of two years recent clinical experience, expertise in medical surgical areas, and current unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio. Teaching experience in a collegiate setting is preferred. Primary duties include classroom, lab, and clinical instruction; student academic advisement; collaborating with other faculty in ongoing curriculum development, program review, and assessment of student learning. Successful candidates will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams, flexibility to teach day, evening, and/or weekend hours as needed, and a willingness to provide instruction/supervision at various campuses and clinical sites. Developmental Reading/Writing Instructional Faculty

A full-time Developmental Reading/Writing Instructional Faculty position available, starting fall August 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year. Candidates must have a Masters Degree in Education, Reading, English/Rhetoric, Adult Basic Education, or closely related field; a minimum of two years (full-time equivalent) successful collegiate teaching experience, strong background in English composition, Adult Basic Education, or ESL preferred; Reading endorsement desirable. Primary duties include classroom instruction in developmental (remedial) reading and writing; student academic advisement; and collaborating with other faculty in ongoing curriculum development, program review, and assessment of student learning. Food Science Instructional Faculty

A full-time instructional faculty position available in the new Food Science program beginning August 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year.

A master’s degree in Food Science or closely related field is required, doctoral degree preferred. Ability to teach in a secondary discipline required; Biology or Chemistry preferred. Must have at least 18 graduate credit hours in each discipline taught. Previous teaching experience and strong technology skills preferred. Collegiate/adult-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Online teaching experience is helpful.

The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include classroom teaching (lecture and lab) and online teaching; curriculum and course development, including online courses; student advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives. Position also includes program coordination which includes program promotion, student recruitment, program review, scheduling of classes and adjunct faculty recruitment.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, flexibility to teach day or evening hours as needed, and the ability to teach in Springfield, OH. Geospatial Technology Instructional Faculty

A full-time Instructional faculty position available in the Associate of Applied Science in Geospatial Technology program beginning August 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year.

A master’s degree in Geospatial/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or closely related field is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required. Career experience in a geospatial technology related area is highly desirable. Collegiate/adult-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Online teaching experience is helpful.

The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include classroom teaching (lecture and lab) and online teaching; curriculum and course development, including online courses; student advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives. Position also includes program coordination which includes program promotion, student recruitment, program review, scheduling of classes and adjunct faculty recruitment. This individual is also responsible for the Advanced Technical Intelligence program and provides support to the Precision Agriculture program.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, flexibility to teach day or evening hours as needed, and flexibility to teach in Springfield, OH or Beavercreek, OH.
