  • Associate Professor: $42,144 - $63,215

New faculty are hired at the instructor rank. Faculty currently holding a full-time faculty position at a higher rank, may be considered for an initial appointment at a higher rank.

Food Science Instructional Faculty

A full-time instructional faculty position available in the new Food Science program beginning August 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year.

A master’s degree in Food Science or closely related field is required, doctoral degree preferred. Ability to teach in a secondary discipline required; Biology or Chemistry preferred. Must have at least 18 graduate credit hours in each discipline taught. Previous teaching experience and strong technology skills preferred. Collegiate/adult-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Online teaching experience is helpful.

The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include classroom teaching (lecture and lab) and online teaching; curriculum and course development, including online courses; student advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives. Position also includes program coordination which includes program promotion, student recruitment, program review, scheduling of classes and adjunct faculty recruitment.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, flexibility to teach day or evening hours as needed, and the ability to teach in Springfield, OH. Position reports to the Dean of Business and Applied Technologies and is located at our Springfield campus. Review of application materials will begin March 23, 2015. Geospatial Technology Instructional Faculty

A full-time Instructional faculty position available in the Associate of Applied Science in Geospatial Technology program beginning August 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year.

A master’s degree in Geospatial/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or closely related field is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required. Career experience in a geospatial technology related area is highly desirable. Collegiate/adult-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Online teaching experience is helpful.

The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include classroom teaching (lecture and lab) and online teaching; curriculum and course development, including online courses; student advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives. Position also includes program coordination which includes program promotion, student recruitment, program review, scheduling of classes and adjunct faculty recruitment. This individual is also responsible for the Advanced Technical Intelligence program and provides support to the Precision Agriculture program.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, flexibility to teach day or evening hours as needed, and flexibility to teach in Springfield, OH or Beavercreek, OH. Position reports to the Dean of Business and Applied Technologies and is located at the Greene Center campus in Beavercreek, OH. Review of application materials will begin March 23, 2015.
