Community Alliances
EnterpriseOhio Network
Clark State is an active member of the EnterpriseOhio
Network of community colleges and two-year
campuses throughout Ohio. The EnterpriseOhio Network is a statewide
alliance established in 1986 to advance Ohio's economic growth
by expanding the capability
and utilization of Ohio's public two-year colleges and university
regional campuses as economic development partners and resources
to meet Ohio's workforce development needs. Clark State is proud
to be a Network partner.
Through the Productivity
Improvement Challenge Program, financial resources have been
made available to support Network projects
and activities to build the capability of these local institutions
to serve as workplace education and training resources for
Ohio businesses, industries and public sector organizations. EnterpriseOhio
Network campus members initiate capacity building projects
and
call upon each other for information and support in the identification
of resources, development of marketing strategies and implementation
of best practices.
By choosing to work collaboratively through
the EnterpriseOhio Network, workforce development professionals
at Ohio's public
two-year campuses have seen their campuses grow as partners
in Ohio's economic
development.
The Targeted Industries
Grants, available to eligible companies through the EnterpriseOhio
Network campuses, were created by the Ohio Legislature to:
- To ensure employer
access to affordable non-credit training and related services
- To improve the competitiveness of Ohio businesses through non-credit
employee training
- To attract, develop and retain companies
strategically important to Ohio's economy
