Demonstration and hands-on training is emphasized in this basic machine tool setup and operation course. Class includes layout, machining, and heat treatment of simple parts utilizing a variety of tool room equipment. Importance is placed on practical, "working" techniques used in the operation of the machines listed below. Machine safety will be highlighted throughout the course.
