Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

This class is an introductory course. Some knowledge of basic
blueprint reading is desirable. Subjects covered will be: feature
control frame, symbology used, review of types of tolerancing;
datums, types and uses; material conditions, their meaning and
symbology; tolerances of form to include the symbology, shape of
tolerance zones and examples; tolerances of orientation including
symbology, shape of tolerance zone and examples; runnout tolerances,
symbols, tolerance zones; location tolerancing, comparison of conventional
vs. true position tolerancing, bonus tolerances, effect of material
condition modifiers on locational tolerances; some simple drafting
problems using GD & T.
