Center for Non-Profit Excellence

The Center for Non-Profit Excellence is a joint venture between Clark State Community College and the Springfield Foundation. The Center will sponsor a series of capacity building courses for local non-profit organizations. The first course on successful grant writing will begin September 22, 2009. Students who complete the course will earn the first certificate in a series being offered by the Center for Non-Profit Excellence. Contact Karen Holstein at (937) 328-6062 for more information.

Grant Writing
A ten-week course, each session lasting 1.5 hours, focusing on hands-on, practical learning that will result in a template-type grant application that will be applicable to many different opportunities. Students will be asked to bring in a recent grant application (either accepted or rejected) as a learning tool. Students will be given specific writing tips and techniques.
