Records for Health Students

Students in Health programs are required to complete specific health requirements prior to beginning their clinical rotations. Students should submit completed health requirements to the Health Clinic nurse in Rhodes Hall, Room 120.

First-year Registered Nursing students are required to have the initial two step TB test, a TB test during the summer prior to the Fall Quarter of their first year, personal medical history, tetanus immunization within the past ten years, second MMR (measles/rubeola, mumps, rubella), Varicella immunization, physical examination within the past year, Hepatitis B immunizations (optional).

Second-year Registered Nursing students are required to have an updated one step TB test during the summer prior to the Fall Quarter of their second year.

Practical Nursing students are required to have the initial two step TB test, a TB test during the summer prior to Fall Quarter, personal medical history, tetanus immunization within the past ten years, second MMR (measles/rubeola, mumps, rubella), Varicella immunization, physical examination within the past year, Hepatitis B immunizations (optional).

Medical Laboratory students are required to have the initial two step TB test, TB test within the past year, personal medical history, tetanus immunization within the past ten years, second MMR (measles/rubeola, mumps, rubella), Varicella immunization, physical examination within the past year, Hepatitis B immunizations.

Students in other Health programs should contact their instructor for health requirements.

Health students may obtain TB tests in the Health Clinic at no charge. No appointment is necessary. TB tests are given during regular clinic hours, on any day except Thursdays. Students must be able to return to the clinic in 48-72 hours for their TB test reading. TB tests may also be obtained for $5 from the Clark County Combined Health District.
