Effective Communication for Managers

"Communication is not what is said, but what is heard." This statement from Dr. David Robey at our Fast Break Breakfast in Springfield generated a lot of interest. His presentation, "Leadership: Communication and Motivation," focused on some of the primary challenges facing today's leaders.

Due to the overwhelming requests from those in attendance, we have arranged with Dr. Robey to offer another workshop: "Effective Communication for Managers."

This three-hour course will identify the perception barriers that effective communicators must overcome. The program will address:

  • Three communication tools that will strengthen communication success.
  • Six ways to establish and strengthen rapport.
  • The key differences between coaching, mentoring and counseling.
  • Five essential steps to follow for successful delegation.
  • Ten guidelines for gaining optimal impact from your coaching sessions.

Through case studies and contemporary business application, Dr. Robey brings truth to light through careful analysis, audience interaction, and a good dose of humor. Participants will leave this workshop with practical tools they can apply on the job immediately.
