Emergency Closings

In the unusual event the College closes for inclement weather or other emergency, an announcement will be communicated as follows:

Due to the brief information that can be communicated to the media, the most detailed and accurate information will be the College’s website and www.cancellations.com.

Please do not call the TV and radio stations or the College.

The announcement will be made as early as possible in the morning beginning at 6 a.m. Announcements concerning evening classes will be made beginning at 1 p.m. When the start of classes is delayed to a time later than 8 a.m. (e.g., 10 a.m. or noon), all classes scheduled during the delay period will not be held. Classes scheduled once the College has re-opened will be held at their usual times. There will be no abbreviated class schedules.
