Director, Career Management and Work Based Learning This position manages comprehensive career counseling, employment opportunity information and work-based learning services. The Director partners with faculty, staff and employers to provide strong linkages in understanding employability requirements and skills. The Director has the responsibility for the divisional administration, coordination of the Co-op Program, development of internships, assistance with work study program, building partnership with Tech Prep and high school initiatives, and coordination/managements of the Career Management staff. In addition, the Director supervises and coordinates the work of the Career Specialist and Career Management Technician in the delivery of skills workshop, job development, classroom presentations, special events and the delivery of technology-based services. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in student personnel, counseling or technical skill preferred. Five years related experience. Three to five years of supervisory experience. A combination of requisite education and experience will be considered. Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated leadership and organizational ability. Experience with work-based learning, classroom teaching and counseling at the post-secondary level. Experience in the development and use of information technology. Good interpersonal skills. Truck Driver Training Institute Opportunities Trainers are part-time, 8-40 hrs weekly. Pay starts on a graduated scale at $7.50/hr for the first 86 hours of ODOPS certification training up to $17.50/hr. Requirements: Class "A" CDL with at least 3 years driving experience in a tractor trailer; Clean driving record-no tickets, accidents or more than 3 points within the past 3 years; Pass a background check; Pass a DOT physical and drug screen and be in good physical health; Be able to pass a written and driving test for CDL trainers in a tractor trailer; Obtain a Ohio Department of Public Safety CDL training certificate; For classroom trainer, must be able to use computers, and able to use Microsoft office programs, including power point presentations. The successful candidate must hold or acquire relevant industry certifications: A+, Network +, Security +, CCNA, MCSE, CISSP. Registered Nursing Program Education and/or Experience: All candidates must have a master’s degree in Nursing, a minimum of two years recent clinical experience and current valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio. Clinical experience in medical surgical and psychiatric nursing areas as well as teaching experience in a collegiate setting is preferred.
