Academic Coordinator The Academic Coordinator, Student Support Services (TRIO Grant), is responsible for providing project participants with academic and career advising, counseling and support services, with a special emphasis on academic success. Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree or equivalent required in student personnel, education or other related filed. Five to seven years experience in education-related or student services-related field. Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong financial management skills with emphasis on grant management. Proven ability to build consensus among diverse groups. Ability to aggressively market the program to students, parents and educators. Experience in counseling and/or advising of academic-need youth or adult student. Experience in school or community-based education. Director, Institutional Research and Planning The Director of Institutional Planning and Research provides leadership, oversight and direction to the transformational processes of the college including the integration of strategic planning and budgeting, research for decision-making and monitoring of institutional effectiveness, and resource development. Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree in related field required. Minimum of three years experience in strategic planning or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with institutional strategic planning and institutional effectiveness required. Knowledge of statistics and their use in an educational setting required. Skills and Abilities: Ability to write clearly, concisely, persuasively and with reasonable speed under pressure. High level of conceptualization. Must be able to conduct effective planning sessions with executive and administrative staff. Must be able to conduct research within an educational setting. Proficiency in computer technology including the extraction and analysis of data. Ability to conduct research on grant opportunities, and trends impacting the institution from a variety of sources. Customer Service Specialist, Theatre Arts This position provides administrative support services to the Theatre Arts academic program. This position also serves as the frontline/department liaison to the College community and the general public. Must be able to exercise imitative and department judgment in performance of assign duties. Education and/or Experience: High school graduate or GED equivalent; associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. One or two years experience working in a customer service environment. Skills and Abilities: Good customer service and communication skills. Good word processing and data entry skills. Good organization skills, including time management and ability to handle multiple tasks; ability to operate a multi-line phone system; effective use of Micro-soft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications and familiar with the use of Datatel. Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach Education and/or Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Masters Degree Preferred) and have at least 3-5 years coaching at the college and/or high school level including effective leadership, communication, coaching and recruiting skills is preferred. Evening-Weekend Receptionist This position provides evening and weekend administrative support to facilitate the Admissions process for current and/or prospective students attending Clark State’s Greene Center. The Evening-Weekend Receptionist serves as the Greene Center’s frontline to students, parents and the general public. This person must be able to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned duties. Education and/or Experience: High school graduate or GED equivalent plus some college-level office administration coursework required; associate’s degree in relevant field preferred. Truck Driver Training Institute Opportunities Trainers are part-time, 8-40 hrs weekly. Pay starts on a graduated scale at $7.50/hr for the first 86 hours of ODOPS certification training up to $17.50/hr. Requirements: Class "A" CDL with at least 3 years driving experience in a tractor trailer; Clean driving record-no tickets, accidents or more than 3 points within the past 3 years; Pass a background check; Pass a DOT physical and drug screen and be in good physical health; Be able to pass a written and driving test for CDL trainers in a tractor trailer; Obtain a Ohio Department of Public Safety CDL training certificate; For classroom trainer, must be able to use computers, and able to use Microsoft office programs, including power point presentations.
