Associate Administrator
Full-time, 12 month, Exempt, Salary Range $28,000 - $35,000 annually.

Immediate opening for an energetic and positive individual to serve as Associate Administrator of a NAEYC accredited early care and education center. Candidate must possess strong business and leadership skills, prior managerial experience, excellent background preferred, BA preferred.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in early Childhood Education or a related field, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two years experience in teaching; two years experience in supervision of staff and ECE administration. Candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills; familiarity with ECE licensing and accreditation requirements. Candidate should possess strong organizational, ability to be self-directed and demonstrated commitment to diverse student populations.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Early Childhood Education Center, the Associate Administrator will be assigned the following duties: Participating in family communications and support (including enrollment and assistance in transitioning families into new programs); Assisting in overseeing the maintenance of the safety and cleanliness of Center equipment and materials, including recommendations for repair or replacement and purchases of equipment and materials; Assisting with preparing and maintaining children’s files and other records. Assist in tasks associated with the daily operations including opening and closing of the center. Assist in tasks associated with marketing and recruiting for the center. Assist in the development, distribution, and collection of data on current community child care and ECE training needs, teaching as assigned. Other duties as assigned, including: service on committees/task forces and attendance at official center functions and professional meetings.

Admissions Office Specialist
Full-time, 1.0 FTE, (2080 hours), Non-Exempt, Grade Level 2 Salary Range $8.32/hr - $12.49/hr.

This position assists with the operations and functions of the Admissions Office. This position is also the face and critical contact person of the Sara T. Landess building.

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree in related field. Three to five years customer service experience.

Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service skills; proficient in the use of Micro Soft Office software and data entry; able to work in a team and fast paced environment; excellent communication and organizational skills.

Office Services Clerk
Full-time, 1.0 FTE, (2080 hours), Non-Exempt, Grade Level 3, Salary Range $10.34/hr - $15.50/hr.

The Office Services Clerk is responsible for performing duplicating/printing services for faculty and staff; prepares and processes computerized purchase orders for office supplies; receives and invoices office supplies purchase orders; and fills office supply orders for all departments. Performs mail services duties in the absence of the mail service clerk. These duties are performed at all Clark State Community College campus locations.

Education and/or Experience: High school graduate or GED equivalent. One or two years of business practice knowledge and purchasing procedures; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate duplicating equipment to reproduce copy jobs sent from various departments. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, the general public and students. Ability to operate computerized point-of-sale system in the bookstore/office services; ability to operate electric cutting machine. Ability to input computer data entry with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work irregular hours including evening.

Transfer and Articulation Specialist
Part-time, .75 FTE (1560 annual hours), Non-Exempt, Level 5, Salary Range $15.50/hr - $23.25/hr

This position is responsible for administering the transfer credit evaluation process for Clark State Community College and for maintaining course equivalencies in the Course Applicability System (CAS). In addition, this position commits 1/3rd of its time (520 hours per year) in support of the Title III, Strengthening Student Success Grant by providing administrative and advising support to the College’s overall enrollment processes including support to the Enrollment One Stop Center as needed.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree. One year student records or related office experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in working with computerized records and word processing software and equipment. Excellent human relations and communications skills. Ability to schedule priorities and efficiently meet established deadlines and ability to positively interact with students, staff and with the general public.

Truck Driver Training Institute Opportunities

Clark State Truck Driver Training Institute is in need of Part Time Trainers both at our Tractor Trailer Training Grounds at Tremont City and Classroom at Shull Hall at the Main Campus on Leffel Lane Springfield. Also, looking for a trainer with recent tanker experience.

Trainers are part-time, 8-40 hrs weekly. Pay starts on a graduated scale at $7.50/hr for the first 86 hours of ODOPS certification training up to $17.50/hr.

Requirements: Class "A" CDL with at least 3 years driving experience in a tractor trailer; Clean driving record-no tickets, accidents or more than 3 points within the past 3 years; Pass a background check; Pass a DOT physical and drug screen and be in good physical health; Be able to pass a written and driving test for CDL trainers in a tractor trailer; Obtain a Ohio Department of Public Safety CDL training certificate; For classroom trainer, must be able to use computers, and able to use Microsoft office programs, including power point presentations. Faculty (Full-Time)

Medical Assisting Program Faculty
Full-time faculty position available in Medical Assistant program starting winter quarter. Candidates must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with recent practice experience as a CMA.

Education and/or Experience: Experience teaching in a collegiate setting, familiarity with instructional technology and active teaching strategies, and knowledge of standards and process for obtaining program accreditation from the Commission of the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on behalf of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

Skills and Abilities: Primary instructional duties include classroom and lab instruction; securing and overseeing directed practice experiences; student academic advisement; participation in ongoing curriculum development, program review, and assessment of student learning. Seeking candidates who are able to start on part-time contracted basis in November to assist with CAAHEP/AAMA program accreditation.
