Systems Administrator, Student Information System

This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the College’s administrative computing system to ensure optimum system efficiency. This individual is the primary contact point for users and interfaces between the College and the software vendor and assists in on-going system upgrades. This position is also responsible for ensuring security of the system and maintaining appropriate disaster recovery procedures.

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree in computer science or management information systems and three years software development experience or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three years experience in relational database management preferably with the Datatel Colleague system. Requisite years of experience and education may be considered in lieu of Associate’s degree.

Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates high level of competence in working with a UNIX environment, including system security and disaster recovery. Demonstrates knowledge of the Datatel Colleague management information system and relational database. Knowledge of Colleague’s Studio development environment. Familiarity with College operation and procedures as related to the administrative computer system. Ability to positively interact with users and promote good relations. Ability to work irregular schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and user needs to complete projects with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of database query systems.

Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Human Resources Generalist

Full-time, (1.0 FTE/2080 hours per year), Non-Exempt, Grade Level 5, Salary Range, $16.68/hour - $25.02/hour.

Performs a variety of HR Generalist responsibilities in support of the College’s HR functions under the direction of the Director of Human Resources. Assist in the implementation of human resources policies and programs. Responsible for developing, coordinating, conducting and documenting appropriate training and professional development activities for faculty and staff as required. Assist the Director in compiling data and maintaining personnel records as well as performing other administrative duties for the Human Resources Management Department to include processing employment applications, enrolling employees in benefits, maintaining personnel records, updating position descriptions, preparing routine and special reports. Supports Human Resources Specialist and Payroll Specialist as required.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field required. Two to three years hands-on Human Resources Generalist experience required. Basic knowledge of employment laws and policies required. Payroll processing experience helpful. Associate’s Degree in related field and requisite experience will be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

Skills and Abilities: High Degree of sensitivity, integrity and discretion required for work involving access to personal and confidential information and ability to remain confidential. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and with a high degree of initiative and self-direction. Very good oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information when required; very good organizational skills to include the ability to prioritize and produce multiple tasks which are highly detailed with accuracy and expediency and under time and deadline constraints. Effective presentation skills required. Excellent presentation skills required. Excellent customer service skills and ability to foster cooperativeness and positively interact with general public and college employees; professional demeanor. Computer literate, specifically MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), electronic mail systems and the Angel tool. Team oriented and must possess knowledge of department concepts, practices and procedures with HR field. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate peak work times. Must be able to exercise initiative and independent judgment in performance of assigned duties.

Adjunct Faculty (Part-time)

Positions available day and evening, classroom and online. Master's degree in the discipline required; prior teaching in a collegiate setting is preferred. Compensation: $315 - $355 per credit hour or $24 - $27 per contact hour based upon length of service with Clark State. Angel certification required for all online instruction. Training will be provided.

Health and Human Services
We are currently seeking part-time instructors for the following areas. Teaching experience is preferred for all positions.

Allied Health Courses
• Classroom and skill lab instructors for a variety of allied health courses including Medical Terminology, Intro to Health Care, Intro to EKG and Phlebotomy at Clark and Greene county campuses.
• Degree and experience in a health care discipline required.

Medical Laboratory Technician
• Online instructors and lab instructors for Springfield campus.
• Medical Technologist with ASCP certification required.

Physical Therapist Assistant
• Online instructors and skills lab instructors for Springfield and Columbus labs.
• Current licensure as Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant and recent clinical experience required.

Practical Nursing Program
• Classroom and clinical instructors for medical –surgical and specialty areas in Clark and Greene counties.
• Current Ohio licensure as a registered nurse and recent clinical practice experience required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing required for classroom instruction and preferred for clinical instruction. Master’s degree preferred.

Registered Nursing Program
• Classroom and clinical nursing instructors needed for mental health nursing course for Winter Quarter 2011 (quarter starts January 3). Classroom instruction provided in hybrid format at Greene Center campus; experience with online/hybrid instruction desired but training in online course management technology will be provided if needed. Clinical site is Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
• Ongoing needs for online, classroom and clinical instructors for medical-surgical and specialty courses in Clark, Greene, Logan and Union counties.
• Current Ohio licensure as a registered nurse and recent clinical practice experience required. Master’s degree in nursing required for classroom and online instruction and preferred for clinical instruction.

Sciences (Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology)
• Online, hybrid and lab instructors for Clark, Greene and Logan county campuses.
• Master’s degree or 18 credit hours in the field required.
