Financial Aid

If you need assistance with tuition, the first step is to request a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from our Financial Aid Office. By filing the FAFSA, you will be considered for all aid for which you might be eligible. You should complete the FAFSA at least two months prior to starting classes or as soon as your federal tax return is completed. You will need to reapply for financial aid each year.

Priority Deadlines
     Sumer Quarter March 15
     Fall Quarter June 15
     Winter Quarter October 15
     Spring Quarter December 15

Need Help Completing the Paperwork for Financial Aid?
Financial Aid staff will be holding workshops to help new and returning students complete paperwork to receive financial aid. Participants should bring a pencil, calculator, PIN number for signature purposes, appropriate 2007 tax forms and any additional information about household income and/or assets. All workshops will be held at the Sara T. Landess Technology & Learning Center on the Leffel Lane Campus.

Financial Aid Workshops
Date Time Location
Wednesday, May 7 6-7 p.m. TLC104
Tuesday, May 13 1-2 p.m. TLC103
Thursday, May 22 4-5 p.m. TLC103

Four to six weeks after completing your FAFSA, a Student Aid Report (SAR) will be sent to you. The SAR is used to establish your financial need. Bring the SAR to our Financial Aid Office, and a financial aid package will be put together for you. If you complete the FAFSA online, the SAR will be sent directly to the Financial Aid Office.

In addition to the FAFSA, you will be required to complete a Financial Aid Office application available online and in the Financial Aid Office before any aid can be processed.

If you are requesting financial aid for Summer Quarter classes, please complete the Summer 2008 supplemental form (PDF) as well. The supplemental form is also available in the Financial Aid Office.

Some students are selected for verification by the federal government. If you are selected, Clark State will notify you of any paperwork that you will need to submit. Typical documentation includes your federal income tax return and a dependent or independent verification worksheet.

Types of financial aid

If your family taxable income does not exceed 150 percent of the federal poverty guideline, you may be eligible for Student Support Services.

Minority students may contact the director of admissions for assistance with the admissions or financial aid process.

If you need help completing the FAFSA or need more information on financial aid, please contact us. Check our referral information for contact information on lenders and service providers.
