Fire Officer I

The Fire Officer I course is intended for recently promoted officers or those working toward promotion. The class will stress decision-making skills, professionalism, critical thinking, communication, team building, human resource issues and transitioning from peer to officer.

The first 40-hours of class will provide Fire Instructor I certification. The 80-hour course meets the Standard of NFPA 1021 Professional Qualifications for Fire Officer I.

• Fire Officer I (PDF) - Class runs November 22 - December 29. Register by October 21!

Prerequisite

• All students are required as a prerequisite to have Level I or Level II Fire Instructor card. Those students who currently do not must attend a 30 hr. Fire Instructor I course prior to enrolling in Fire Officer I.
