Firefighter Instruction

Clark State’s 84-hour Fire Instruction program meets the State of Ohio and NFPA@1041 Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualification (2007) requirements for Instructor I, II and III. Primary text will be IFSTA 7th edition Fire and Emergency Services Instructor.

Minimum Requirements
Prior to admission, students must pass a FF Level II exam with a minimum score of 80 percent.

Candidates must have a minimum of five years in fire service, including three consecutive years immediately prior to submission of an application for instructor status.

Candidates must submit proof of completion of IS-100 and IS-700.
