Frontiers Scholarship

Purpose

  • To provide scholarship assistance to deserving African-American students in order to assist them in their studies at the College
  • To aid in the retention of students
  • To encourage students to reach their full potential, academically and socially

Award - two per year

  • The recipient may use the scholarship for tuition and fees, up to the amount available each year
  • The award is to be issued once a year and can be used after September 1 of the application year

Eligibility

  • The student must be an African-American
  • The student must be a resident of Clark County
  • The student must have at least a 2.5 grade point average to apply and must maintain a 2.5 average throughout his or her college career at Clark State
  • The student must enroll for and successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each quarter to maintain the scholarship

Application process for first consideration
Submit completed financial aid forms, scholarship application, copy of tax forms and current transcript to the Financial Aid Office by 5 p.m., the last Friday in March.


Selection process

  • Applications will be screened by the Scholarship Committee
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
  • All decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final
