Kathryn H. Hickes Scholarship

Purpose
To assist a student enrolled in the early childhood education program.

Award - one per year

  • $500 for instructional, general and associated fees, mandatory books and supplies from the College Bookstore
  • Applied after OIG and before Pell
  • Not renewable

Eligibility

  • Graduating seniors from Clark County high schools, Catholic Central and Springfield-Clark JVS
  • Enrolled in Clark State's Early Childhood Education program
  • Enrolled for minimum of 12 credit hours for any quarter where scholarship funds are used
  • Current high school/college grade point average of at least 2.5
  • Financial need may be considered in the decision.

Application process for first consideration
Submit completed financial aid forms, scholarship application, copy of tax forms and current transcript to the Financial Aid Office by 5 p.m., the last Friday in March.

Selection process

  • Applications will be screened by the Scholarship Committee
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
  • All decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final
