AFCEA Dayton-Wright Chapter Scholarship
For majors
in Information Technology
Purpose
To promote and foster a U.S. reservoir of trained and qualified
scientists and engineers in technical disciplines related to
United States Armed Forces’ command, control, communications,
computer systems, other electronics and intelligence capabilities
necessary to defend national interests.
Award - two per year
$1000 per student for tuition, books or other course-related
expenses
Eligibility
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have completed at least 30 semester
hours (or equivalent quarter hours) and not more than 100 semester
credit hours
(or equivalent)
- Must have a demonstrated potential for
completing the course of study
- Must be pursuing studies in electrical/electronic
engineering, data communications, telecommunications engineering,
computer science, computer engineering or management information
systems.
- If a transfer student, must have completed
at least one term as a full-time student at Clark State
- Career
goals of students may be considered
- Financial need may be considered
- Leadership activities within
organizations and clubs of the College, department or community
may be
considered
- No applicant may be disqualified because of sex,
race, physical handicap or religious affiliation
Application process for first consideration
Submit completed financial aid forms, scholarship application,
and official copy of latest transcript to the Foundation Office
by the last Friday in March.
Selection process
- Applications will be screened
by the Scholarship Committee
- Late or incomplete applications
will not be considered
- All decisions of the Scholarship Committee
are final
Other
Donor will advise the institution by March of proceeding academic
year of availability of funds. Institution will advise donor
of the name, class and academic major of scholarship recipient(s)
and funds provided to the College during August/September.
