Dan Pond Scholarship

Purpose

  • To provide scholarship assistance to a deserving agriculture student in order to assist him or her in their studies at the College
  • To recognize previous outstanding academic achievement
  • To recognize leadership potential in the agriculture industry

Award - one per year

  • One $500 award for tuition and fees
  • The award will be issued once each year and can be used after September 1 of the application year
  • A first-year recipient is eligible to reapply as a second-year student, up to a total of $1,000

Eligibility

  • Must major in an agriculture program
  • Must carry a 2.5 minimum grade point average (high school, college or minimum GED score of 53)
  • Must enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours Fall, Winter and Spring quarters
  • Must maintain a 2.5 grade point average for the duration of the scholarship

Application process for first consideration
Submit completed financial aid forms, scholarship application, copy of tax forms and current transcript to the Financial Aid Office by 5 p.m., the last Friday in March.

Selection process

  • Applications will be screened by the Scholarship Committee
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
  • All decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final
