Monte Zinn Scholarship

Purpose

  • To provide scholarship assistance to a business technologies, accounting or business transfer student
  • To aid in the retention of students
  • To recognize academic achievement

Award - one per year

  • Seventy-five percent of student's tuition, fees, books and essential supplies will be covered each quarter
  • The award is to be issued once a year and can be used after September 1 of the application year
  • The recipient may use the scholarship for the equivalent of time needed to receive a two-year degree

Eligibility

  • Must have completed all admission requirements
  • Must carry a 3.0 minimum grade point average (high school, college or a minimum GED score of 53)
  • Must maintain a 2.75 grade point average for the duration of the scholarship
  • Must apply for federal financial aid programs and be determined eligible to receive financial need based grants
  • Must be a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours each quarter enrolled, with Summer sessions optional

Application process for first consideration
Submit completed financial aid forms, scholarship application, copy of tax forms and current transcript to the Financial Aid Office by 5 p.m., the last Friday in March.

Selection process

  • Applications will be screened by the Scholarship Committee
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
  • All decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final
