Training Funds
Targeted Industries Grants
Targeted Industries Grants were created
by the Ohio Legislature to:
- To ensure employer access to affordable
non-credit training and related services
- To improve the
competitiveness of Ohio businesses through non-credit employee
training
- To attract, develop and retain companies strategically
important to Ohio's economy
These training funds are available to manufacturers, health care
employers or other employers experiencing a shortage of information
technology workers and needing training and assessment services
to address that shortage. Clark State will work with your company
to develop a comprehensive training plan and complete the application
process. Contact the Corporate and Community Services at 937/328-6079 for additional
details.
Workforce Development Training Funds
Through our collaborative efforts
with the Clark County Department of Jobs and Family Services
and the Springfield-Clark County Adult
Technical Center, Clark State may be able to provide your company
with customized or individual training at a nominal price. Participants
must live in Clark County, have minor children and meet specific
federal income guidelines. If your employees meet these guidelines,
their training may be paid for through our workforce development
funds provided by CCDJFS. Services may include needs assessments
or training. We will work with your company to set goals and
expectations for desired results, assist with recruitment and
determine eligibility
of employees.
