Champion of Change Scott Dawson Represents Clark State at Final D.C. Event

Scott Dawson, program coordinator of digital media at Clark State Community College, returned to Washington, D.C. to participate in a reunion of past Champions of Change. Dawson was honored by the White House with this distinction in 2011 as part of President Obama’s Winning the Future initiative.

Rick Springfield’s hugely successful "Stripped Down" tour comes to Springfield at 7:30 p.m. at the Clark State Performing Arts Center. With 25 million records sold, a Grammy® Award for his No. 1 smash-hit Jessie’s Girl, and whopping 17 Top-40 hits including Don’t Talk to Strangers, An Affair of the Heart, I've Done Everything for You, Love Somebody and Human Touch, Springfield has no intention of taking his foot off the accelerator.

Clark State Community College graphic design students collaborated with the 5th grade students of Ridgewood School to bring poetry to life with a new program called Take Pause.

Clark State Will Host College Credit Plus Informational Session

Clark State Community College will host a College Credit Plus (CCP) informational event for local high schools and students on Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center in downtown Springfield. The College Credit Plus program allows students to earn college credits while in high school, all at no cost. This state-funded program covers tuition, books and fees.
