Emergency Preparedness
Clark State realizes there is a growing concern about the increasing threat of terrorist attacks in the United States. It is important that visitors, students and employees feel safe while on campus. Therefore, Clark State officials have developed an Emergency Preparedness guide to make people aware of the actions that will be taken in direct response to the current Homeland Security Advisory System threat level.
The College's Crisis Response Manual guides campus operations in the event of an emergency.

Ohio Terrorism Awareness and Prevention (TAP) Presentation
TAP is part of the State of Ohio Security Task Force efforts to educate Ohio’s citizens about terrorism and to call upon citizens to help keep all of Ohio safe.
Terrorism is the use of violence, or threat of violence, to create a climate of fear, in a given population. Terrorists target ethnic or religious groups, governments, political parties, corporations and media enterprises. Organizations that engage in acts of terror are almost always small in size and limited in resources compared to the populations and institutions they oppose. Through publicity and fear generated by their violence, terrorist groups seek to magnify their influence and power to effect change on either a local or an international scale.
Who Is a Terrorist?
Anyone who, through the use of violence, or the threat of violence, attempts to create a climate of fear in a given population. He/she could be your best friend, fellow classmate, business associate or your neighbor.
