Health and Fitness

The Health Clinic nurse provides free nursing care and medications for certain illnesses, first aid for injuries, on-site emergency response, health counseling and educational literature. The Health Clinic nurse or nurse practitioner is available during regular clinic hours for health-related questions and referrals to area doctors and health care facilities. Appointments are not necessary, but you will need to bring a validated student ID.

Clinic Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Nurse Practitioner
A nurse practitioner is on duty Wednesday, 11-2 p.m.

The Health Clinic provides free screenings for blood pressure, glucose, vision, hearing and periodically offers weight loss contests, flu shots and blood drives.

A list of first aid kit locations is available at the bottom of the Emergency Medical Procedures posted in classrooms, restrooms and on most bulletin boards on campus.

Local Health Departments - H1N1 Information
Local health departments are providing current information on the H1N1 Flu Virus in their county.

Fitness

Clark State offers employees and students a fitness center with cardiovascular exercise equipment (or aerobic) ranging from treadmills, bikes and steppers to cross-training equipment. We also offer strength training equipment ranging from free weights to a multi-purpose unit machine. You will be required to present a current valid ID prior to using the Wellness Center.

The Wellness Center is located on the north side of the Applied Science Center adjacent to the gymnasium.
