Navigating Our Web Site
We’ve designed Clark State’s web site with you in
mind. It provides information for future students,
current students and community members interested in a variety
of services offered by Clark State. The home page reflects this
concept with main and secondary options that help direct you to
information you are seeking in the least number of clicks.
Navigation
Our web site navigation has worked so well for visitors, that we
decided not to change much when we completed our latest updates.
The main navigation, located on the left side of the home page,
consists of four main options: Future Students, Current Students,
Courses and Programs and Business and Industry. The secondary
navigation, located on the right side of the home page, consists
of six pathways: About Clark State, Admissions, Campus Cruiser,
Employee Directory, Site Map and Contact Us. These navigational
choices were selected based on routine visits by people like
you.
Don’t worry about losing the navigation when you leave the
home page. You’ll see it again at the top of every page on
Clark State’s web site. So if you’re on the Current
Students page, you can easily click on Courses and Programs at
the top of the page. Other sites make you return to the home page
to make another selection.
Now let’s go one more step into the navigation. When you
are visiting a page on our web site, we also provide you with navigation
on the left of the page. This navigation is more specific and will
direct you to pages that directly relate to the area you’re
visiting.
Quick Links
You’ll love our new Quick Links box! The Quick Links is a
pull-down menu that lists the most visited pages on Clark State’s
web site. Simply click on any item in the Quick Links, and you’ll
jump immediately to that page. That will get you there in a hurry!
Search and Site Map
Can’t find what you’re looking for on our web site?
Well, in that case, we’ve provided you with web “tools” to
use. These web “tools” are the Search and Site Map.
The Search box is located on every page of our web site. All you
need to do is enter one or more keywords that name or best describe
what you're looking for. For maximum results, be as specific as
possible when entering keywords. Matches to your keyword(s) will
be displayed on a separate page. Each match is given a score in
the bottom right corner. The higher the score, the more prominent
your keyword(s) appears in that information. Review the description
for each match to determine the right one. Simply click on the
link, and you're there!
The Site Map is another tool to use when you can’t find
something on a web site. Our Site Map shows you the names of every
web page on our site in alphabetical order. Jump to any part of
the alphabet by clicking on a letter at the top.
