Clark State Designated Military FriendlyPublished: 8/19/2010 Clark State Community College has been named a "Military Friendly School" for 2011 by G.I. Jobs magazine for the second consecutive year. This distinction was given in recognition of the support the College provides for student veterans and students in the military. Clark State will be included on the magazine’s list of Military Friendly Schools, which will be published in September. The list honors the top 15 percent of more than 7,000 colleges, universities and trade schools for doing the most to help America’s veterans as students, the magazine announced today. Clark State offers all active military personnel stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base a reduced tuition rate of $45 per credit hour. Over the last year, Clark State has seen a 19 percent increase in the number of veterans the College is serving. "Clark State’s Greene Center’s convenient location near Wright Patterson is making it a popular choice for active military and veterans looking to start degrees or complete general education requirements," said David Devier, vice president, academic and student affairs.
