Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society will open new doors for your academic journey. The organization offers a myriad of opportunities for scholarships, intellectual enrichment and personal development through programs based on Phi Theta Kappa's four hallmarks of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship. Clark State sponsors the Alpha Nu Lambda chapter

Exclusive benefits are available to members of Phi Theta Kappa. You will be eligible to wear the gold regalia (tassel and stole) at graduation. There are opportunities to attend fascinating lectures on timely topics, as well as opportunities to relax and fellowship with other members. Bring family and friends to any event including chapter meetings and spread the fellowship.

Phi Theta Kappa members have the opportunity to earn recognition through award and scholarship opportunities. Ask for listings from your chapter advisor.

How much time will being a member take?
The time a member devotes to Phi Theta Kappa is a matter of individual choice. Some Phi Theta Kappa members choose to devote many hours to chapter activities; others may elect to not participate at all. Phi Theta Kappa's constitution requires only that a prospective inductee make and maintain a GPA of 3.5 cumulative. No service activities may be required of new or old members; nor can the chapter withhold any benefits (i.e., wearing honors stole; receiving scholarship recommendations).

How much are the fees?
As of September 1, 2004, the Phi Theta Kappa International Membership fee is $45. It is paid only once. Members are also required to pay a one-time regional fee of $5 and a one-time chapter fee of $15. Fees help with the expenses of operating the chapter so that we may concentrate our efforts on service projects that benefit the community instead of fund-raisers.
