Self-Paced Learning

Self-paced courses provide a convenient alternative to the traditional classroom. Set your own pace and take up to two quarters to complete your coursework providing the course requirement is met. Coursework is completed independently away from campus or in campus labs while all testing must be completed during scheduled self-paced lab instructor hours. The self-paced program has open enrollment so you may begin working on your coursework as soon as registration and payment is received. Self-paced courses included:

  • ITS 081 Beginning Keyboarding
  • ITS 12K Keyboarding/Word Processing
  • ITS 103 Information Technology Basics
  • ITS 12A Windows Concepts
  • ITS 12D Beginning Database
  • ITS 12P Beginning Presentation Graphics
  • ITS 12S Beginning Spreadsheets
  • ITS 12W Beginning Word Processing
  • ITS 14DIntermediate Database
  • ITS 14S Intermediate Spreadsheets
  • ITS 14W Intermediate Word Processing

A self-paced lab is located in TLC 114 on the Leffel Lane Campus and in Room 121 at the Greene Center. A self-paced lab instructor is available to assist you during scheduled lab hours.

Clark State offers proficiency tests for many of the self-paced courses. You will need to contact the academic division for the course and request to take a proficiency test.

For more information about the self-paced courses, please contact the self-paced lab coordinator at 937/328-8087.
