Self-Paced Orientation

This orientation will provide you with helpful hints and a basic understanding of how to succeed in a self-paced environment. Print these pages and use them as a quick reference. This orientation does not cover all of the information about your self-paced course. Please read and know the contents of your self-paced course handbook.

Don't wait to get started . . . begin working in your self-paced course today! An instructor is available at various times during the day and/or evening (depending on campus location) at either the Springfield or at the Greene Center.

The self-paced lab hours for Fall, Winter and Spring quarters for the Springfield campus are:

  • Monday and Wednesday, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3:30-9 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday, 1-9 p.m.
  • Friday, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Saturday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Hours for Summer Quarter are:

  • Monday and Wednesday, 1-3 p.m. and 5:50-9 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 5:50-9 p.m.

Self-paced lab hours for the Greene Center campus for all quarters are:

  • Monday - Thursday, 4-8 p.m.

Download and take the orientation quiz (PDF) within 10 days after registering for a self-paced course to have 10 bonus points added to your final grade. Submit your completed quiz to a lab instructor before taking your first test. (The web orientation and course handbook will provide you with the answers to the quiz.)
