STNAThis 84-hour class will introduce the student to the principles and procedures of basic patient care for individuals in the long-term care setting. The course is regulated by the Ohio Department of Health and attendance is required. The student will be given both classroom and clinical experience. An 80 percent or higher is required on all written work and the final exam. Each student must have a two-step TB test and criminal background check completed prior to registering for the class. Class registration is with instructor permission only and that is only given after the student attends an information session. (Please call 328-6062 for time and date of the next session.) After successfully completing the course, the student will be eligible to sit for the Ohio State Tested Nurse Aide exam. The cost of the exam is not included in the cost of the course.
