Clark State Eagles vs. Cincinnati State Game Recap
High powered #8 Cincinnati State visited Clark State on Wednesday night averaging 87 ppg so far this season. The Surge would prove again to enjoy scoring points in bunches, dropping 91 points on the Eagles. The home team Eagles were down 47-38 at the half. Cincinnati State built a 22-point lead at one point in the second half, only to see Clark State battle back to get the deficit first to single digits, and then down to six points with two minutes left in the game. Poor shooting and turnovers would not allow the home Eagles to draw any closer. The final score was Cincinnati State 91, Clark State 79.

Clark State: 6-4
Cincinnati State: 10-1

Clark State Eagles vs. Sinclair Tartan Pride Game Recap
After six years and twelve tries, Coach Karlton Clayborne and the Clark State Eagles had yet to defeat their rivals from the Gem City. Nothing would have indicated this year and this game would be any different.

The Eagles used a stingy man to man defense to harrass the Tartan Pride for most of the first half. Holding Sinclair star Jabreel Coaston to two first half points, freshman Opeyemi Sholesi (Thomas Worthington) led the Eagles with nine first half points, and a number of forced turnovers and defensive deflections. The score at the half was Clark State 31, Sinclair 30.

The second half would see a different Sinclair team come out of the locker room. The lethargy of the first half had been blasted away by Coach Jeff Price during the intermission. Sinclair applied intense pressure on the Clark State guards in the second half, which was answered by calm, controlled ball handling, and distribution by Freshman Kevon Davis (North Hardin, KY), Jemichael Blanton (Trotwood Madison) and Dajuan King (Toledo Bowsher).

Clayborne put his team in a 3-2 zone midway through the second half, and it seemed to frustrate the penetrating Sinclair squad. The Eagles offensively answered every run by the Tartan Pride and pulled away with 3:00 remaining, building a 12 point lead. Sophomore Sean Walton (Patterson) led Clark State with 25 points, and Sholesi added 24 to move the Eagles to 5-2 on the season.

Clark State Eagles vs. OU-Chillicothe Hilltoppers Game Recap
With only a two point deficit at the half 31-29, Clark State proceeded to go on a 6:00 drought to begin the second half, allowing the OU-Chillicothe Hilltoppers to build a lead as large as 16 at one point. With four minutes to go in the game, the Eagles turned up the heat, forcing seven Chillicothe turnovers, and went on a 14-0 run to pull within one point. Out of a timeout, Freshman Jemichael Blanton (Trotwood) missed a driving layup in the lane that was quickly followed up by fellow Freshman Opeyemi Sholesi (Thomas Worthington), who converted the stick-back with 4.3 seconds remaining. Clark State defended full court, and forced a half court desperation shot that fell short for the Hilltoppers. The final tally was Clark State 63, OU-Chillicothe 62. That score represented the Eagles only lead of the game. Freshman Kevon Davis (North Hardin, KY) led the Eagles with 15 points and five assists.

Clark State: 2-2
