Truck Driving Admissions

The admission requirements listed below are used by the industry in screening perspective employees for truck driving jobs. They will not, however, prevent students from attending the Commercial Transportation Training Center as long as students are able to meet minimum state and federal requirements for obtaining a CDL license.

  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a drug screen.
  • Have a good driving record.

No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
No more than one chargeable accident in the last five years.
No DWIs or DUIs in the last five years.
No felony charges and/or convictions in the last ten years.
No misdemeanor charges and/or convictions in the last 10 years.

  • Be at least 21 years of age. (18 in the State of Ohio)
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be interviewed by a faculty member of the Commercial Transportation Training Center.

Truck Driving Financial Aid

Financial aid may be available to qualified applicants from:

  • WIA Program
  • Wells Fargo
  • Work Force Development
  • Veteran's Program
  • BVR Programs
  • TRA and TAA Programs
  • Plato Loans
