Advanced EMT (EMS 1106) is a credit course meets current standards of the State of Ohio Advanced EMT curriculum, including the recognition of the nature and seriousness of a patient’s condition/extent of injuries. Emphasis is on basic anatomy and physiology, basic principles of pharmacology, venous access/medication administration, airway management and ventilation, patient assessment, clinical decision making and communication and documentation. Successful students will be eligible to sit for Ohio’s Advanced EMT certification testing. Eight (8) college credit hours.

Cost: $1,514 (includes books, lab fees and insurance)

January 11 - April 30, 2015
Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 - 9 p.m.
Ohio Hi-Point Campus, 2280 Ohio 540, Bellefontaine, Ohio

Prerequisites:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Certification
• Ohio EMT Certification
• Reading proficiency as established by COMPASS reading exam
• Math proficiency as established by COMPASS math exam.
