Clark State Community College is currently accepting registrations for the 2018 College for Kids and Teens summer programming.

“College for Kids and Teens offers students in pre-K to grade 5 experiences in art, science and engineering while middle and high school students can explore careers such as graphic design, geospatial technology, nursing, emergency medicine, lab technology and more,” said Kanesha Scott, STEM programming manager for Clark State

College for Kids and Teens offers more than ten class and day camp opportunities, each developed for student enrichment. The five-week schedule consists of different programs each week. The activities provide opportunities for students to explore new areas of interest, stretch their imagination or cultivate a skill.

Topic areas include: STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math and medicine), theatre arts, writing arts, nature, music and dance. All activities are conducted in a non-graded environment encouraging personal growth and development.

Scott said enrollment is steadily growing for summer 2018; the first classes and day camps begin June 11. Pre-Med Camp, Geospatial Technology, Catapult Painting and Sprout House are near capacity.

Depending on the course and planned activities, classes are just $50 per student. A Day Camp option is also available for $85. Clark State offers two discounts: a sibling discount and a discount for Clark State students, alumni and employees. All classes are available on a first come, first served basis, and class sizes are limited.
