Updates for Fall Semester

Dear Clark State Students:

We look forward to welcoming you back to Clark State! Bringing students back to campus will involve a great deal of planning, a commitment from everyone to follow safety and hygiene protocols and patience as we phase in a return to full operations. Staff will be available beginning Monday, July 6 to meet with you on campus, until then, feel free to reach out by phone or email.

Our Fall 2020 schedule reflects classes with face-to-face options, as well as online. I encourage you to connect with your success coach, by email or phone, to create a schedule that works best for you. Not sure who your success coach is? That’s ok! Email and we’ll get you connected.

When you return to campus for Fall 2020 classes, our environment and some processes may look different to you. We will be taking important steps to ensure the safety of everyone on campus by following the guidelines developed by the Ohio Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control:

  • Physical distancing protocols and procedures for classrooms, labs, clinical experiences, libraries, large group indoor and outdoor events
  • Student health services and support
  • Frequent and aggressive cleaning of facilities and surfaces
  • Availability of hand sanitizer, distancing stickers on the floor, health and hygiene messaging on campus

Upon return to campus, we will ask all students to follow the attached Return to Campus Daily Checklist. The checklist follows current state of Ohio guidance regarding the “Responsible Restart of Ohio.”

As a reminder, we are registering for Summer courses now. The first Summer term begins May 26. You can view the full Summer 2020 schedule online.

Please let me know if you questions or concerns. I am happy to help.

Thank you,
Dean, Student Engagement and Support Services
