Instructional Faculty, Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Technology

A full-time, 9-month Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Technology instructional faculty position is available beginning January 8th, 2021 for the 2020-2021 academic year. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Cybersecurity or closely related field is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. All candidates should have a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (or higher). Certifications in CompTIA Network+, Security+, or A+ preferred. Must be willing/able to obtain a NetAcad Instructor Training Certificate. Applicants should submit copies of transcripts documenting education and certifications completed along with other requested documents.
The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include on-ground and online classroom teaching; curriculum and course development; student academic advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives.
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, and flexibility to teach day or evening hours and at the College’s campuses in Springfield and Beavercreek, OH as needed. Position reports to the Dean, School of Business and Applied Technologies and Workforce Development and is located at the Springfield campus.
