Instructional Faculty / Program Coordinator, Computer Software Development

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is $36,360 - $54,540.

A full-time, 9-month, Computer Software Development instructional faculty position is available beginning August 2021.  A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field is required and master’s degree is preferred.  Applicants should submit copies of transcripts along with other requested documents. 

Must have proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and C# using a Windows-based operating system.  Familiarity with SQL, database design concepts, and database management systems is required.  Must have experience with web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and be comfortable deploying applications on a web server.

The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning.  Primary duties include on-ground and online classroom teaching; curriculum and course development; student academic advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives.  

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, and flexibility to teach day or evening hours and at the College’s campuses in Springfield, Beavercreek, OH, and Ohio High Point as needed.  Position reports to the Dean, School of Business and Applied Technologies and is located at the Beavercreek Greene Center location.  Position will remain open until filled.
