Clark State College to Host Virtual College Credit Plus Open House

January 25, 2021

Clark State College will hold a virtual open house for students interested in entering the College Credit Plus (CCP) program.

Current high school students and parents/guardians of a high school students are invited to attend one of the virtual open houses.

“The virtual College Credit Plus open houses will give both current high school students and their parents an overview of the CCP Program at Clark State and how to get started in the program,” said Kristin Skiles, director of enrollment management at Clark State. “They will also have the ability to speak face-to-face with our admissions team to help answer any questions they may have about the program.”

Skiles said the open houses are a streamlined communication method to allow students and parents the opportunity to ask direct questions about the CCP program for the 2021-2022 academic year and get answers right away surrounding the program.

“This ensures we make a connection with families from the beginning of their student’s journey and limit their confusion on how to get enrolled especially during COVID,” she said.

The CCP program allows students to earn college credits while in high school, all for free. Students can enroll in courses at Clark State and receive credit for high school requirements and for college credit. These credits may be used at Clark State or for transfer to the college or university of choice after high school graduation. This state-funded program covers tuition, books and fees.

High school students can take courses:

In the spring of 2020 Clark State had 39 CCP graduates earn their associate degree while also earning a high school diploma. The number of Clark State CCP graduates more than doubled from 2019 and the program continues to grow.

Clark State will offer the CCP virtual open house from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2 and Wednesday, February 10. The virtual open house is free and can be joined using the following link:
