Clark State Community College will be open for student registration until noon today, August 18.
Clark State announced at 1:40 p.m. yesterday (August 17) that the Leffel Lane campus would close in the interest of safety and security of students and employees due to a county-wide power outage.
“The safety of our students and employees is our priority at Clark State,” said Clark State President Dr. Jo Alice Blondin. “We will work to accommodate student needs and be sure they are prepared for classes to begin on Monday.”
Dr. Theresa Felder, vice president of Student Success for Clark State, said because of the impact on students and staff due to the brief closure, Clark State will extend course registration by one to two days.
“Our Student Services professionals will provide increased support to help students prepare for class and get into a course section as quickly as possible,” she said.
