Clark State Community College will hold an open house for prospective students interested in learning more about what the college has to offer.
“The open house is designed for prospective students to get a one-stop experience highlighting academic programs and campus services and resources,” said Clarissa Beavers, admissions specialist for Clark State.
Clark State offers a host of academic, transfer and career paths including:
- Arts and Humanities
- Agriculture and Food Science
- Computer and Information Technology
- Engineering, Manufacturing and Mechanical Services
- Math and Sciences
- Social Sciences/Human Services and Public Safety
Clark State was recently approved to offer two bachelor’s degrees. A four-year degree in Web Design and Development is anticipated to be available to students beginning in 2020 pending final approval by the Higher Learning Commission; and a four-year degree in Manufacturing Technology Management will be available to students beginning in the fall semester of 2019.
Clark State offers one of the lowest tuition rates in the state of Ohio at just $155.33 per credit hour for in-state students. Additional discounts are available for active duty military and students who qualify for the Tuition Challenge program.
Clark State offers a reduced tuition rate to all active military personnel in the state of Ohio. Active duty personnel receive a 50 percent reduced tuition rate and their spouses receive a 25 percent reduced tuition rate.
From its inception in 2015 through October of 2018, Clark State students saved more than $265,000 with the Tuition Challenge program. The program encourages positive classroom performance and waives standard tuition rates for students who complete 12 or more credit hours in a semester, achieve a grade of C or better in each course and enroll in the successive semester for 12 or more credit hours.
The open house will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 in LRC building, Room 209 at the Springfield campus on Leffel Lane.
