“We are extremely pleased to recognize our graduating nursing students as they enter the nursing profession,” said Gwen Stevenson, director of nursing programs for Clark State. “They are well-prepared to provide excellent care to those in our community and beyond. They’ve demonstrated their ability to be caring, critical thinkers who will contribute to the nursing profession and the health of our community. We are very proud of their achievement and also grateful for the wonderful nursing faculty who have provided them with an outstanding education.”
The registered nursing program can be completed at Clark State’s Springfield campus. The practical nursing program can be completed at Clark State’s Springfield campus as well as at the Bellefontaine campus at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center. Both nursing programs have daytime and evening/weekend enrollment options.
Clark State and Western Governors University partnered to host an informational session on December 4 for graduating students interested in continuing their education in the field of nursing.
“The informational session is intended to help students clarify their goals when pursuing nursing as a career option,” said Stevenson. “Students often have questions about programs and the requirements.”
Representatives from Chamberlain College of Nursing, Franklin University, The Ohio State University, Ohio University, University of Cincinnati, Western Governors University, Wittenberg University and Wright State University were on site to discuss transfer options for students interesting in obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing after graduation from Clark State.
