Clark State Welcomes Back Students with Special Event

August 29, 2017

Clark State Community College will hold a fall semester “Welcome Back” event for new and returning students from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6 at the Karen E. Rafinski Student Center.

“This event has several different purposes,” said Justin McCulla, director of athletics and student life for Clark State. “One is for the students to get an opportunity to hangout and meet other students. Another purpose is for community and college-wide resources to be available for our students.”

The Welcome Back event will feature food, music, information about community and college resources, games and small prizes.

Community participants include banking institutions, different branches of the military and several community resource organizations.

“We are looking for beautiful weather so we can again have this event on the patio behind the Rafinski Student Center,” said McCulla. “This is a great opportunity for our students to come and enjoy a nice lunch; meet and hang out with other students and faculty members.”
