Clark State Community College will hold Student Recognition Night Wednesday, April 17 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center in downtown Springfield. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Student Recognition Night is an annual event recognizing and celebrating outstanding students. This year 53 students will be honored in various areas including Student Life (Phi Theta Kappa, Student Ambassadors, Student Senate, Physical Therapist Assistant Club), Work Study and Academic Programs.
“Student Recognition Night is one of my favorite events at Clark State,” said Nina Wiley, dean of student engagement and support services. “We have the pleasure of honoring students for their exceptional involvement in student life opportunities and for positively standing out in their academic programs. The 53 students being recognized are inspirations to many on campus.”
The keynote speaker at the event will be Clark State alumnus Jordan Tyler. Tyler earned his Associate of Science degree from Clark State in 2016 and then completed his bachelor’s degree at Wright State University. He was a student ambassador and student representative on the Budget Advisory Council and will connect with the audience as he shares his experiences as an active student leader.
Faculty, staff and student organization advisors nominated outstanding students in their programs. Students recognized will receive a medallion to be worn at commencement.
