Clark State Community College will hold a pinning ceremony for Registered Nursing graduates of the Clark State Community College – Springfield Regional School of Nursing at 6 p.m., Friday, May 6 at the Clark State Performing Arts Center, 300 South Fountain Avenue in downtown Springfield. More than 60 registered nurses will be honored at this event.
Graduate nurse Anthony Adams will recite the Florence Nightingale Pledge and graduate nurse William Scarbrough will recite “These Are the Hands of Healing.” Student speakers include graduate nurses Leah Guthrie and Genesis Hunt. Kathy Wilcox, dean of Health and Human Services for Clark State, will present the Nursing Excellence Award.
The Registered Nursing Program can be completed at the Leffel Lane campus in Springfield and is offered as both a daytime and evening/weekend option. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. and approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Graduates are prepared to function in beginning staff-level registered nurse positions in hospitals, extended care facilities, clinics and comparable health care facilities as members of a health care team.
