Clark State Adds LPN-to-RN Evening Program to Greene County Location, Applications Now Open

July 14, 2021

Clark State College is now accepting applications for the spring 2022 Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse evening program at the Clark State Leffel Lane campus and Beavercreek location. Spring semester begins January 18, 2022.

“Given the demand for competent nurses in our region, we are adding an LPN to RN program at our Beavercreek location, making our nursing programs even more accessible and convenient for students,” said Dr. Rhoda Sommers, dean of health, human and public services at Clark State. “Our RN graduates are in great demand with a 100 percent job placement rate.”

Sommers also said now is a great time to launch a career in nursing because of expected job growth and many opportunities for advancement.

The LPN to RN option meets the educational needs of the licensed practical nurse desiring to become a registered nurse.

Graduates are prepared to function in beginning staff-level registered nurse positions in hospitals, extended care facilities, clinics, and comparable health care facilities as members of a health care team.

Upon completion of the program, the graduate is eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-RN examination. Licensure is mandatory for practice as a RN.

Clark State RN programs are space limited and competitive admission. The application window will close at 5 p.m., Friday, September 10. For more information, prospective students contact an academic advisor at 937.328.6084 or email admissions@clarkstate.edu for more details.
