The Clark State Performing Arts Center (PAC) Close to Home Community performance series finale will take place Wednesday, August 25 at 6 p.m. with a performance by vocalist and guitarist, Andy Fox.

“Last summer’s ‘Close to Home’ series exceeded our expectations, so we brought it back for this summer,” said Adkins. “We expanded the name of the series to ‘Close to Home Community Series’ because this is a series for the community with all the performers from the community.”

Fox performed in last year’s PAC Close to Home (CTH) series and said he is excited to be able to perform again this year.

“It is a great venue to play in; the PAC staff makes all of the artists sound amazing,” said Fox.

Fox said he is beginning to secure more shows, but the past year was difficult.

“It was excellent for the performers to have the Close to Home series available as a place to play in a safe manner to socially distanced crowds,” he said.

This year, Fox said he will be playing an eclectic mix of guitar-centric songs, with lots of old blues, fingerstyle arrangements, and of course plenty of lighter pop and rock fare, as well.

“It has been a terrible year for the performing arts, and I think the great turnout and enthusiastic audiences we have drawn for the outdoor PAC shows underscore how much people have missed live performance, and how vital all art is to people’s emotional well-being,” said Fox.

The Close to Home Community Series events are free of charge will be held in the outdoor courtyard between the PAC and HBC, 300 South Fountain Avenue. Lee's Famous Recipe and a cash bar will be available.

Patrons attending the Close to Home Community Series are encouraged to bring their own seating and follow current state health directives for physical distancing and face coverings. Outdoor events may be moved indoors if inclement weather poses a hazard.
