Clark State to Hold Open House at Ohio Hi-Point Location in Bellefontaine

Clark State Community College will hold an open house at its Ohio Hi-Point location in Bellefontaine, Ohio, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 29.

The community is invited to learn more about the degrees and certificates offered at Ohio Hi-Point and tour the Dr. Sloan Technology Laboratory.

“We invite the community to enjoy refreshments as they learn about many exciting opportunities offered in Bellefontaine. Engineering and manufacturing are some of the fastest growing career fields in our area,” said Lisa Castle, student services coordinator at Clark State. “Through our partnerships with Ohio Hi-Point Career Center and many local businesses, we provide students the opportunity to earn welding, industrial maintenance, computer-aided design and computer numerical control certificates.”

Degrees available at the Clark State Bellefontaine location include:

  • Manufacturing Engineering Technology
  • Industrial Technology

Certificates available at the Clark State Bellefontaine location include:

  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) short-term technical certificate
  • Computer-Aided Design departmental certificate
  • Industrial Maintenance short-term technical certificate
  • Welding short-term technical certificate

Clark State offers one of the lowest tuition rates in the state of Ohio at just $155.33 per credit hour for in-state students. Additional discounts are available for military and veteran students, and through the Tuition Challenge program for qualified students.

From its inception in 2015 through October of 2018, Clark State students saved more than $265,000 with the Tuition Challenge program. The program encourages positive classroom performance and waives standard tuition rates for students who complete 12 or more credit hours in a semester, achieve a grade of C or better in each course and enroll in the successive semester for 12 or more credit hours.
