Clark State TRIO Services to Host Online Workshops

February 16, 2021

Clark State College’s TRIO Student Support Services will host monthly workshops on various topics to help students continue to be successful.

"Our students are overwhelmed by navigating online classes while balancing family, school, and work,” said Callie Cary-Devine, project director of the TRIO Student Support Services Program at Clark State. “Time management and mental health are the top two areas TRIO students tell us they need more help.”

Cary-Devine said for over 20 years, TRIO has been helping students who are first generation, have financial need or have a documented disability be academically successful.

The TRIO Student Support Services Program helps students meet challenges and reach academic, personal and career aspirations. TRIO provides personal assistance with college services such as basic study skill preparation, tutoring, financial aid assistance, academic advising and mentoring.

  • Required to take at least one developmental class as indicated by the ACCUPLACER Placement Test, or,
  • Out of school five or more years, or,
