Clark State Community College will observe CONSTITUTION Day with a special event planned for Monday, September 18.

“CONSTITUTION Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States CONSTITUTION and those who have become U.S. citizens,” said Justin McCulla, director of athletics and student life for Clark State. “It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.”

McCulla encourages all Clark State students, staff and faculty to come to the event and test their knowledge about the CONSTITUTION. 

“We have partnered with the Clark State Library to put on a banned books exhibit,” said McCulla. “We will have a quiz for everyone to challenge their knowledge, and we will have small giveaways.”

The CONSTITUTION Day event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, September 18 in the Sara T. Landess Technology and Learning Center Rotunda and Library.
