Jim Witter to Take Stage at Clark State Performing Arts Center with Songs of Taylor, King

March 15, 2017

Clark State Community College will present the Richard and Barbara Kuss Memorial Concert featuring Jim Witter at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 15 at the Clark State Performing Arts Center, 300 South Fountain Avenue in downtown Springfield.

Among his many lifelong achievements, Richard Kuss was one of the first honorees of the Clark State Founder's Award. After chairing a successful fundraising campaign for the College, the Kuss Auditorium was named in his honor.

The Jim Witter concert is part of the annual Clark State Circle of Friends Gala in support of events at the Performing Arts Center. Witter, along with special guest Tiffany Desrosiers, will present “Fire and Rain: The Songs of James Taylor and Carole King.”

Witter has been performing professionally for more than 30 years. He also performed at the Clark State Performing Arts Center for the Kuss Memorial Concert in 2013 with the music of Simon and Garfunkel; and in 2016 with “The Songs I Write – The Music of Barry Manilow.”

Tickets for the Richard and Barbara Kuss Memorial Concert are required, but are complimentary thanks to the show’s sponsor, the Carleton F. and Ruth Davidson Trust. Tickets are available at the Clark State Performing Arts Center Box Office in person or by calling 937.328.3874.
