This May Project Jericho and Clark County Solid Waste District will team up to bring awareness to the recycling center located at 1602 West Main Street. Colorado muralist Mariah Kaminsky will work with youth in our community to not only reclaim and restore a wall, but also create a light for a neighborhood and our entire community.

In anticipation of the mural, approximately 30 local teens have been learning about the businesses and people who live and work on West Main Street. Through this experience they have been inspired to create poetry, watercolor paintings and photographs that display the unique lights found existing on West Main Street.

The community is invited to attend the unveiling of “Light On Main” April 27 from 5-6 p.m. at United Senior Center located at 125 West Main Street. The show will remain on display at the United Senior Center while the mural is being painted in May. On Wednesday, May 24 the community is invited to celebrate the Catching Light mural at 1602 West Main Street.

Project Jericho is a collaborative program of Clark State Community College and Clark County Department of Job and Family Services with additional funding provided by the Ohio Arts Council, the Ohio Department of Youth Services and the Turner Foundation. The mural is additionally supported by Clark County Solid Waste District.
