Registration Open for Success in the Era of a Virtual Workplace Training through Clark State Workforce and Business Solutions

July 28, 2020

Clark State Community College Workforce and Business Solutions will offer an online training opportunity aimed at helping workers adjust to and maintain a successful virtual work environment in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Success in the Era of a Virtual Workplace will be held from 10 - 11 a.m., August 18, 19 and 20.

“This training series will focus on virtual customer service, communication and collaborating and fostering relationships through remote work and virtual tools,” said Lesli Beavers, director of workforce and business solutions at Clark State. “The use of virtual meeting tools has increased significantly, and even as individuals return to workplaces, these tools will continue to be used for both safety and convenience.”

The three sessions will be taught by Yolanda Stephens. Stephens has 20 years of experience in human resources, training and organizational development and strategic planning. She is the founder and CEO of Innovative Performance Consulting, LLC and was most recently the training and development manager at the Miami Valley Communications Council, where she oversaw the training program for 30 local cities. She has employed her expertise in the public, private, government and educational sectors and has developed and deployed talent development programs internationally for senior level executives, managers and individual contributors. She has also created and managed global career and leadership development, coaching and mentoring programs and currently works as an adjunct instructor at Franklin University in the Ross School of Business.

Beavers said this training is applicable to all sectors and will help individuals and businesses continue to grow and succeed through virtual meetings and presentations. “This training is also applicable to individuals who may be seeking employment,” she said. “Having remote and virtual work skills will be an important skill now and in the future.”

The Clark State Success in the Era of a Virtual Workforce training program takes remote work training beyond the individual, time management, routine building trainings. This training is next level - providing excellent virtual customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, virtual presentation and meeting skills to keep audiences engaged, make meaningful connections and continue to foster relationships in the virtual work world.
