Military Credit
You’ve Served. Let Your Experience Count.
Have previous training and experience through the military? Let’s see how it can work for you.
If you’d like your military training or coursework evaluated for college credit, start by sending your official transcripts to Clark State’s Records and Registration Office at 570 E. Leffel Lane. We’ll notify you when they arrive and again once the review is complete.
Your transcripts are reviewed by the appropriate academic department, and we award credit whenever possible. If a course doesn’t match a specific class, you may still receive elective credit in many degree programs.
During the review process, we may reach out for additional details about courses listed on your transcript — so be sure to check your Clark State email regularly. And if you have questions about your evaluation results, your advisor is always ready to help.
Ohio GI Promise & MTAGs
Clark State participates in the Ohio GI Promise, which recognizes and awards college credit for approved military training and experience from the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard. Training must be approved by the American Council on Education or a regional accrediting body like the Higher Learning Commission.
Military Transfer Assurance Guides, provide a statewide guarantee that certain military training, experience or coursework will transfer and align with existing college courses.
We’re proud to support those who’ve served and help you make the most of your experience.
